Facebook Opens First International Engineering Office In London

fbFacebook announced today that they have opened a London engineering office, adding to their Menlo Park, New York and Seattle engineering offices. The company has 22 open positions at the new office. Facebook says it has engineers scattered at its other numerous U.S. and foreign offices, but this is the first official international engineering office.

LifeKraze Launches iOS App And “Mission: Inspire” With Olympic Help

LifeKraze lets users post 160-character messages (with photos and links, if they want) about their day’s accomplishments; they each have 300 points per day to award to other users. These points can then be redeemed for products and discounts from LifeKraze’s partners, including The North Face, Men’s Health and prAna, or they can convert them to cash donations to non-profits like DonorsChoose.org.

On July 16, Pinterest posted a “Locked Account Survey,” asking affected users to complete a survey to “assist our investigation.” The eleven question survey is broad, covering a wide range of possible issues, from whether the user had experienced other security hacks to how they used Pinterest to what browser they used, suggesting that Pinterest doesn’t know what’s causing its hacks.

Hootsuite Opens Up Google+ Page Integration To All Users

gplus-header-600x300Hootsuite, the popular social media management interface, can now offer Google+ Pages access to all of Hootsuite’s nearly 5 million users. Since November, when Google allowed Hootsuite to offer Pages on its site, Hootsuite has been limited to only 200 pages. Google lifted that cap today.

However, it still cannot offer Google+ Profile support due to Google restrictions.
