The Hunt Begins: Creating the Perfect DIY Costume

Browsing the aisles of a Halloween costume store is an awesome way to spend a weekend in October. The pop-up warehouse is filled to the brim with all types of costumes. Freaky ghouls, witches, Egyptian pharaohs and priestesses, raving lunatics, genie’s with a top ponytail, and a slew of sexy fireman/cops/doctors/nurses. The problem with buying a costume from a Halloween store is that your chances of having an original costume to win the “Best Costume” prize at a raging party go completely out the window.

This Halloween is the perfect chance to spend less on a costume this year, but where do you get the inspiration to create the perfect DIY costume? While the majority of people still rip off their ideas from retail stores or through online searches, there will be plenty of people this year getting inspiration from social media. All the groovy ghouls are looking at Facebook and Pinterest as sources of inspiration for their DIY costume this Halloween. So, what DIY costume are you looking to turn yourself into this Halloween?
